LAO for families exists to promote the best interests of children in Ontario. LAO addresses the legal needs of families as part of its larger, long-term strategy to improve access to justice for low-income Ontarians.

The Barbara Schlifer Clinic provides free legal services in family law to women who have experienced violence and abuse. The clinic will help you address your safety needs, identify your legal issues, make informed decisions about legal action, and find the right legal help. Other specific areas of focus include child custody and access, financial support, and protection order to ensure the safety of their client.
