Cultural Supports

The Native Youth Resource Centre provides cultural programs, recreational activities, Drop-in services, the Aboriginal Youth Employment Skills Building program and arts programs for Indigenous youth under the age of 25.

hosts a weekly drop-in program for Indigenous youth aged 12-24 who identify as female. Activities include drum circles, craft, sharing circles, pow-wow dance lessons and outings in the community.

ABoriginal Elder Outreach Project is a program where twice a week, an Elder accompanies Na Me Res Outreach staff to engage with clients where they are: at their residence, on the street, or in local drop-ins. The Elder provides teachings and ceremonies that focus on Aboriginal customs, values, and practices while recognizing and respecting the differences between our Aboriginal cultures. This program is for Indigenous individuals who identify as male.

AN7GC is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for residents of the Anishinabek Nation by helping if there is no alternative financial option. The awards that are available for distribution are made possible by the kindness and assistance of donors, helping partners, and the AN7GC’s fundraising activities and events. Anishinabek Nation Seven Generations Council (AN7GC) will support Registered Status Members of the 39 First Nations of the Anishinabek Nation (living in or outside the community); Groups and Organizations benefiting Individuals or Groups of One or More of the 39 First Nations of the Anishinabek Nation.
